A party of frontiersmen are out patrolling when a snowstorm closes in. The temperature is dropping quickly, too, and their leader, Charles Smith, knows if they are caught out unsheltered his men may die of exposure. He spots a camp of enemy Huron — likely a winter hunting party. He orders the men forward to seize the Huron lodges and drive off the Huron.
